MAH JONGG AND YOUR BIRTH YEAR

Martina G sent me this photo of a NMJL card from 1947 – her birth year – with the following message:

This is the coolest thing. A Mah Jongg card the year I was born! I loved it so much I copied one side and had it all framed! Notice, only 50 cents for the card! We have come a long way!! Love your blogg!!

I love that Martina has framed this and it got me to thinking…what a great birthday or hostess gift for our Mah Jongg-playing friends.     I really enjoy reading your daily posts. I am a mah jongg enthusiast (that’s the term I use instead of addict, it sounds so much nicer). I love the idea of framing the cards. Do you know of anyone who may have cards from the early 1960’s? I have only been playing for about 7 years.

      Hi Bonnie – thanks for the nice message. And you are in luck – eBay has a lot of vintage NMJL cards from the entire 60s decade. Here are some of the links for you – they are all different prices but I think you should be able to find one that is in good shape and, at the same time, affordable. Let me know!
