I am delighted to write about this great event…
Our good friend – and wonderful Mah Jongg teacher in the Bay Area – played in a Mah Jongg game yesterday in the middle of the exhibit, Project Mah Jongg, at the Contemporary Jewish Museum in San Francisco. That would be exciting news in and of itself but there is much more…Toby’s mother, Reva, was celebrating her 98th birthday yesterday and was part of the game at the museum. Here is the write-up from our friend Gail and a picture of this wonderful – and wonderfully exciting – event:
Toby Salk‘s mother Reva, whose 98th birthday is today, just won the first game we played in the very center of the exhibit PROJECT MAH JONGG! She’s like a celebrity at the moment. I feel like we ARE the exhibit – almost everyone was milling around watching us play during the game instead of looking at the exhibit.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO REVA…AND MANY, MANY MORE! JUST ONE MORE PIECE OF PROOF THAT MAH JONGG PLAYERS HAVE LONGER – AND HAPPIER – LIVES!!!
Long Live Avid Mah Jongg Players!!
