Mah Jongg is not just a game. It has become a part of my life that allows me to entertain my Mah Jongg-playing friends, cook great meals to serve to them and test my mental skills during our game play (which, hopefully, is often).
THE ROYALE TREATMENT…
We are all having a great time playing Siamese Mah Jongg but, leave it to the wonderful Gladys Grad, the Grand Master of American Style Mah Jongg, to come up with a newer and better version – ROYALE SIAMESE MAH JONGG!And, of course, Gladys would figure out how to make the game even more inclusive:And, just in case you need some reminders, here are the rules for the standard and wonderful Siamese Mah Jongg, direct from Gladys:Thank you, Gladys – your creativity is the best thing to ever happen to Mah Jongg!!!

Can’t wait to try both!
Don’t know if my 1st reply went through. Thank you Gladys for showing us how to play with less than 4 players. I showed my friends and students how to play Siamese, now there is no reason not to play if you don’t have a four-some. Can hardly wait to share this with my mah jongg friends. Many thanks, Phyllis
I had a student that asked me what the difference was between regular playing rules and tournament rules..
I felt stumped!! Isn’t a rule a rule??
Inquiring minds need to know!!
Amazing!! I have heard this many times!!!
