IT’S HERE!!!

Well, that magic moment has finally arrived…the new National Mah Jongg League 2020 card arrived in my mailbox today – and, as I am every year at this time, I am so happy to see it. Unfortunately, there are not a lot of games happening right now in New York (and around the country) with us in lockdown or shelter-in-place. But we can always play on line or join a video conferencing  get-together like Zoom.

If your card has not arrived yet, do not fear – it is on its way!

So, study your new card and…ENJOY!

Congratulations! Waiting for mine in Florida! There are several online games and some already updated to 2020 hands like Rea’lmahjong.com. Mahjongtime said it should be updated within two weeks. American Mahjong Practice app should be updated soon! See you online! We continue to share info about online games and all things mahjong on Facebook.com/groups/mahjongcommunity

Since NYC is the hot spot of the virus, Has the NNJL offered any recommendations for our safety on how we receive our cards… perhaps opening them outside and wiping them down with disinfectant? Error on the side of caution?

Hi Suzanne – no, I don’t think the NMJL has given any advice about receiving mail from them. Actually, it is my understanding that the office is closed for the time being. But certainly you can wipe down the envelope and the card if you have any concerns at all. Better to be safe than sorry.
Stay safe and be well. And wash your hands!
