Our dear friend Donna out in San Luis Obispo has a fun new idea for her upcoming Mah Jongg tournament. She has filled a jar with various tiles and for $1 you can enter the contest to guess how many tiles are in the jar. The correct guess wins all the money!! Donna has an even bigger jar to use for her tournament in January. This is such a great idea to add to the fun of a tournament. Leave it to Donna to come up with new ideas! And, speaking of the San Luis Obispo area, we are sending good thoughts and prayers to Donna, Boots, and all the rest of our friends in the Central Coast area of California that the fires will soon be contained and they will have suffered no damage.

JUST A LITTLE MORE TIME LEFT FOR EVERYONE TO COMPLETE THIS HAND!
I received this message and photo from Barbara, one of my oldest friends in California…with less than a month to go before the 2016 card arrives, she completed the big hand of FF 2015 2015 2015 – congratulations to her! How many of you were able to Mah Jongg with this hand…you still have a few weeks left before the new card arrives!
A major coup – I made this hand. I wanted to do it before the new card comes.
Love,
Barbara
BIGGEST LITTLE TOURNAMENT!
Our wonderful friends, Donna and Boots, held a great tournament in Santa Maria. I think we can all pick up some fun ideas from the following message from Donna. I love the “Hand on the Wall” idea!
Wish I had been there!

YUM!!!
I just came across this photo…does anyone know about this place: Ganache Patisserie & Cafe by NIcol in Monterey Park, California? Wow, Nicol is talented and these candies – the “tiles” are carved out of white chocolate – not only are beautiful but they look really yummy.
