Mah Jongg is not just a game. It has become a part of my life that allows me to entertain my Mah Jongg-playing friends, cook great meals to serve to them and test my mental skills during our game play (which, hopefully, is often).
The OMs are scattered all around the world right now so we didn’t play Mah Jongg today, even though it is Mah Jongg Wednesday. I am also leaving town to head up to beautiful Columbia County for a few days and then further north to celebrate my friends’ 50th anniversary (wow!!!) on a cruise on Lake George. So, this will be my last posting until next week. Until then, I hope you all have lots of Jokers.
Enjoy these pictures – Mah Jongg is everywhere!
Mah Jong was especially popular with fashionable young women. Here are three bathing beauties playing Mah Jongg on Venice Beach, California in 1924 (Photo: www.lukehoney.co.uk/)
