The other day I received an email from Judy who brought some news about Atomic hands, such as this one:

BACK IN THE DAY…

Included with one of the Mah Jongg sets I recently purchased was a National Mah Jongg League (NMJL) card from 1957. I thought it might be fun to compare that card with the most recent one (2013).

The card is tiny and the price was too – 25 cents! However, there is an additional charge for membership in the NMJL – 50 cents! Today, as you know, the card is $7 (or $8 for the larger size) and that includes your membership in the League. Continue reading →
